We were all created with a purpose. Do you know what the purpose of your life is? Pastor Rick Warren, helps with this understanding he is the writer of the small booklet “What is the purpose of my life” and in that small paper back booklet he shares with us. If you want to know the purpose of your life, you must begin with God, not yourself or with what anybody else says. You were created by God and for his purpose and you are never going to understand life until you understand God’s purposes. It is only in God that we discover our identity, our meaning, our purpose, our significance, and it is only in God that we discover our destiny. Every single other path leads to a dead end.
Until I surrendered my life to Christ, my life was going every which way without a true understanding of what my purpose was. Yes, I was created and blessed with many talents and I have actively dabbled in my ability acknowledging and using them. I still didn’t know the purpose for which they were to be used in a profound way until I surrendered my life to God. God, begin to show me the depth of my talents and creative abilities in ways I never imagined I was capable, and it is non explanatory.
My having surrender my life in order to build up my relationship with God and studying the Bible and praying to God, asking God to help grow and mature me in a way that would help me become all that he created me to be, and to grant me the opportunity to using them in a way that would be pleasing to him. God, did not ignore my request. My life and my purpose begin to becoming clearer to me day by day, not over night, but in the duration of time that God saw fit, in order for me to participate in the blessing of it all.
The love God showers you with is a love that washes away fear, doubt and lack, and fills you up with joy, confidence, hope and faith that gives you an understanding of your value, worth and the purpose He created you, and it is with out a doubt, your trust in God becomes a light to your path and your purpose. You come too know that with God everything is possible. God created me to love me and have a relationship with me. And nobody will ever love me the way that God does. That’s a fact. I am 60 years of age and life has shown me that Gods love surpasses al understanding.
The sad thing is that most people never get to know God in a personal. Why is that? Well,I am so glad you asked! here’s the problem, all of us have a natural desire to be the boss of our own lives and to ignore God‘s right to tell us what to do, we want to be God, we hear phrases like, “look out for number one,” “Do your own thing ,” “ if it feels good do it,” “ it’s my life and I’ll do what I want as I please,” or as Fran Sinatra used to sing “I did it my way,”.
The Bible calls this attitude of wanting to control our own lives sin, and in the Bible it says we’re all guilty of this prideful attitude.
The Bible also says that if we think we never sin, we’re only fooling ourselves and we refuse to except the truth, our attitude of wanting to be God is what breaks our close relationship with God, it is this attitude of trying to run our own lives, that causes us to fear God and to feel separate from God‘s love, it’s also source of all the other problems in our lives Isaiah 59 verse two says this the trouble is that your sins have cut you off from God and Romans three and 23 says all have send and have fall short of God‘s Glorious ideas. I noticed that it says all, all of us have sinned, now what does it mean when it includes all, well it means me and it means you and it means everybody else in the whole world, we have all blown it. We’ve all made mistakes, None of us are perfect, we don’t measure up to our own standards much less Gods, and there is no perfect person in the world, now here’s the problem God created you to spend eternity with him in heaven but heaven is a perfect place and I’m not perfect and neither are you.
And it is only by God’s mercy and grace that we have any hope of going there, some people try or believe they will enter with salvation by heritage, they say my mother or father was a Christian so I must automatically be a part of God’s family and he’ll except me in heaven, that’s funny, and it’s just not logical.
It’s also interesting that some people believe and they will say to you, it doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you’re sincere the problem is you can be sincerely wrong!
It takes more than sincerity to get into heaven you have to come in to heaven God‘s way because it’s his home.
Salvation is the only way into heaven. Jesus himself said this: I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me” in John 14:6 Now, notice Jesus didn’t say,” I might be the way.” He didn’t say, “I”m it! “I’m looking for the way.” He said, I am the way... No one comes to the Father in Heaven except through me.” The way to heaven is through faith in God’s son, Jesus . My hope is that all be saved. God is love.
